Microsoft has divided the kit organization into smaller manageable CD groups, to help reduce the number of CDs shipped. Customers receive only the grouping of products they need. Continuing with three pools (Application, System, Server) for license compliance (no change), media will be available in 10 Groups.

EA specific kits (includes standard and add-on products) provide Enterprise Agreement customers with the CDs they require to deploy the software they have signed up for.

Campus & School specific kits provide Campus or School agreement customers with the CDs they require to deploy the software they have signed up for. Also available to Campus & School customers is the Reference Kit, which includes media for EncartaPremium and MapPoint.

This is a change from past configuration, where CDs can contain more than one product or language. The new organization makes it easier for customers to find and organize the CDs, and helps them determine what is to be replaced when new versions are shipped.

Enhanced CD artwork and labeling displays the product name and language clearly, making it easier to locate the specific product.

To assist with organizing the Fulfillment Kits, Microsoft provides a zipped ring-binder holding up to 80 CDs with Welcome and Comprehensive kits to make it easier for customers to store and manage the CDs in their kits.

Additional binders, sleeves, and tabs are all available for purchase separately through your Large Account Reseller.

Predictable Shipment Schedule.

Shipment of update kits for subscriptions will take place on the 1st of each month. Customers can expect delivery about the same time each month, and each update should contain fewer CDs than the kits in the past.
